This 6in x 6in wet plate collodion photograph was taken on blue stained glass  - an Ambrotype.   Taken in Menasha, Wisconsin, and is from a mural showing part of the area's rich heritage.  The image is protected by a layer of traditional Sandarac varnish - a mix of frankincense and lavender oil.  Framed for hanging using stained glass lead came with copper hanging rings.
